The UP40 cable pulling winch is a reliable model from the renowned Italian company OMAC Italy, designed for professional laying of fiber optic cables and underground transmission lines. Thanks to its efficiency and versatility, it has gained recognition in the industry – it is the most popular winch both in Poland and Europe.

The unit is equipped with a single-circuit hydraulic drive system, which allows smooth speed adjustment in both directions – both from the control panel and via remote controls.

Capstans are made of a single block of solid steel are responsible for the 40 kN thrust. Their monolithic design guarantees maximum durability, load resistance and precise line guidance thanks to a specially shaped, multi-groove surface.

As standard, the winch is equipped with:

• Lightweight and compact all-metal chassis with premium paint job and easy access to spare parts;
• Easy-to-use DEG 4.0 control panel along with smooth electronic control of retraction speed*;
• Strain gauge measurement of retraction force guaranteeing measurement accuracy of up to 1-3%;
• Hydraulic negative brake that stops the rope return to the winch. The rope guide roller is 360° adjustable;
• IP65 component protection. Machine additionally grounded with surge protection and emergency machine shutdown;
• 4-point anchorage point for anchoring and a central eye for lifting the machine;
• 4 fully galvanized, mechanically adjustable supports for seating the machine during operation. Rear supports with adjustable tilt angle;
• Temperature and hydraulic oil level indicator; enlarged oil cooler in the hydraulic circuit;
• Reliable rope reel consisting of a diamond roller with a heavy-duty rope guide;
• Equipment also has an automatic spool winder for winding rope with a removable spool;
• System for easy service in 60 minutes. Stainless steel tool box;
• Remote control on cable for controlling 10m winch (037.2);
• Homologated chassis (006.4) on shock absorbed axle including braking system, overrun brake and hand brake. Adjustable drawbar with

Main functions of the DEG 4.0 control panel

Each machine produced by OMAC is equipped with an electronic DEG recorder with a USB port for recording all data as option 069.2 – this gives the user first and foremost:

• Display of pulling force, speed, and the ability to record the length of rope/cable pulled in real time;
  
• Electronic maximum pulling force setting;
  
• Display of operating time, error notifications, and upcoming service;
  
• Data recording and storage on a portable USB memory stick, with the ability to connect a handheld printer.

It can also be equipped with OLS, which allows remote control of the machine, WI-FI connection, GPS Geolocation, fault detection system and more. More in the OLS tab.
